Continuous Hors D'Oeuvres Wedding Reception for Karen and Zachary

This was the first wedding we ever did where we served only hors d'ouevres for 3.5 hours. The ceremony and recepetion took place in the NYC Loft home of the bride and groom. Their next door neighbor graciously lent them the use of his loft space as well but things were still tight. Our "kitchen/prep space, was a room of of the loft with saw horses thrown up to make tables and shelves to put the 22 different platters on - we had great fun designing and executing this event and have used it as a template for many events since then.

Feeding people hors d'oeuvres instead of a dinner buffet is as much is not more work and certainly alot of food - you are just eating it one or two bites at a time. The format allows for standing and mingling and works well in tight spaces where there just is not room for tables and chairs.
